Using OS X Console to view system messages

If you are encountering a problem using Intercom, sometimes it helps to look at the Mac Console for system log messages that may provide clues to the source of the problem. On Windows you could look at the Application event log

  • Using Mac Finder or Spotlight, open Console (typically in Applications / Utilities)
  • Exit and restart the Intercom application
  • Using the system tray Intercom icon located at the top or bottom of your screen, right click and choose Exit
  • Restart Intercom
  • Switch to Console
  • Now you can Edit -> Select All and then Edit -> Copy to copy the log information to the clipboard
  • Send the system log information to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
